An accomplished nature and outdoor photographer, and founder of the Great
American Photography Weekends workshop series, Bill Fortney harbored a
long-time dream of becoming a pilot. Inspired by the film Fly Away Home,
he learned to fly ultralight aircraft, then put that knowledge to work to
achieve incredible aerial images that display both the beauty and diversity of
the American landscape.
